GALL STONE AND FOREIGN OJBECT REMOVAL
INNOVATIVE TOOLS FOR ENDOSCOPIC PROCEDURES
In conjunction with the development of its innovative core technologies, Endogene is dedicated to simplifying and improving the outcome of well established procedures by the development of better tools for the resolution of common clinical problems. These tools are also aimed at expanding the potential interventions of the Parascope® platform.

HELITRAWL™
The removal of gall stones blocking the bile ducts is one of the most common endoscopic interventions which gastroenterologists are called on to perform.
The Helitrawl™ device provides an alternative to traditional basket retrieval designs, with improved capture and extraction capabilities. The device incorporates shape memory super elastic alloys and a unique helical design to provide a simple and effective method of capturing stones. Helitrawl™ allows secure retrieval of stones, including an ability to release and recapture if necessary. The device is particularly effective when used in a narrow and constrained channels.. |
MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS
Helitrawl™ has application for removal of stones or foreign bodies from other hollow organs including urinary tract stones and foreign body obstructions in oesophagus and bronchus.
The Helitrawl™ design increases the probability of successfully capturing and removing stones intact. The concentric ring design also allows for the capture of multiple stones of varying sizes in one pass. The axial construction of the Helitrawl™ also facilitates simple release and recapture of stones if required and unlike traditional basket designs, this prevents small stones or stone fragments being compacted into the catheter, which may prevent the closure and retraction of the device. |
